Naresuan University was proactive to initiate “Zero Shop” to implant good volunteering for the environment by the NU freshmen.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Anuphan Sittichokechaiwut, Vice President for Student Affairs, said that NU had 26,207 staff and students consisting of many offices, the hospital, and dormitories which produce much waste.
In the Academic Year 2016, the Student Affairs Division, Naresuan University initiated the project “Zero Shop” for managing waste on campus. The aim of this project is to implant good behaviors for a sustainable environment at NU. The Student Affairs Division, Naresuan University commenced the project “Zero Shop” with the concept of exchanging recycled waste occurring in daily life for things in the shop, such as soap, toothpaste, face powder, hair shampoo, and food to reduce the cost of living at NU.
At the beginning, the Zero Shop opened only on Wednesday from 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. at the Multi- Purpose Building, Naresuan University. Nowadays, the Shop is opened daily from 5.00-7.00 p.m. Please contact the Students Affairs Division at 0 5596 1150 for more information.
